ÒWhere my girls at?" is a one woman show
that examines one Black lesbianÕs search for community among
Black women. Set at the end of the 20th century in the San Francisco Bay Area, this
piece addresses the issues that connect and separate multiple Black
womenÕs communities in the Bay. It also reminds us of the joy and pain that go
along with bringing your full self wherever you go. This one woman show demonstrates
how people build their identities through their membership in multiple communities.
